Bangkok #6: Ban Khun Mae @ Siam Square

The Bangkok updates continues...

This time I bring you another Thai restaurant located at Siam Square.

It is actually located right across the road from Som Tam Nua

I love the entire design of the restaurant.
So classy and authentic.
Plus, it has the very traditional feel to it=D

 The restaurant setting

 The boy bomb-ed my photo...

This is the mango sticky rice station

 All the dessert=D

The raw vegetable spread...

Some selfies while waiting for our meal...
How typical...

1st dish we had was their Mango Sticky rice...

Yes, we had dessert as our appetizer=D

Of all the mango sticky rice we had, this is the bestttt!

If you are ever there, you must try it!

2nd is of course Tom Yam Kung.

A bowl of bursting flavors!
It is a spicy bowl of tom yam with loads of yummy goodies inside=D

3rd is the Som Tam, Thai Papaya salad

It is ok but it has some fishy taste, which I don't quite fancy.
Som Tam Nua
definitely serves better papaya salad=D

4th is the steam fish!

Since we had fried fish the last time,
we decided to go for a steam one this time.

We saw every table having one of this fish on their table,
so it had to be good right?

It was awesome!
Spicy but definitely worth it=D

Look at those little bits on top of the fish,
that's the super mouth burning chilli they put on the fish.

Even me and my sis, who love spicy food,
had to remove those chilli to get to the fish.

However, it was a warm and satisfying dish.

There were only 2 of us to finish everything...

We did finish everything, in case you were wondering=P

If you are ever at Siam Square are in Bangkok,
go give Ban Khun Mae a try.

It's delicious and reasonable.

I forgot exactly how much was the price for each dish
but we paid roughly 600++ Baht for our entire meal.

And when we were on the way back
we saw this by the side of the road

 Creepy Much!!!

This is how Thai's promote their latest horror film!

How creative right?

To be honest I was kinda freaked out when I first saw it...

We all know how scary Thai horror movies are...
Like Shutter...
Personally, I am such a chicken shit,
I won't be able to last through 10 mins without closing my eyes.

Horror movies so not my idea of entertainment.

One more Bangkok update left...
Stay Tune...
